When the courts acquit an officer of a shooting, why does the media not outline the justification rather than promote the unjustness of the court’s decision (whether judge or jury)?

You will develop a 500-word paper reacting to law enforcement and the community as it relates to Pennsylvania Title 18 Consolidated Statutes Annotated Section 508(a) – Use of force in law enforcement. Focus your argument on the public unrest when police officers use deadly force especially when the force involves an unarmed citizen.
Your paper does not need to answer these questions, but as food for thought:
Can the shooting be justified if a citizen is unarmed?
When the courts acquit an officer of a shooting, why does the media not outline the justification rather than promote the unjustness of the Court’s decision (whether judge or jury)?
With all the media attention about police shootings, after reading the law for yourself, did you really know when a police officer was justified to use deadly force?
Should police departments and the media educate the public about the law?
Should the law be changed and how, while still ensuring police officer safety and public safety?
Papers will be typed using Times New Roman, one-inch margins, 12 font, APA format. References are not required as this is your reaction to the law and the community’s response even when the law is applied correctly. Paper will be evaluated on appropriate response, logic of content/material flow, rationalization of strengths and weaknesses, punctuation, grammar, spelling, references, (if you choose to do so), an APA format.

How clear and organized was the presentation?

Opening of Class Presentation (10 points)
At the beginning of each class, two to three students (depending on class size) will be required to share and discuss with the class a social policy issue of interest. The social policy issue can come from the student’s fieldwork placement, personal interest, a newspaper/magazine article, television show, podcast, or other media outlet. In doing so, students should be able to identify who is impacted by the social policy issue, potential implications for social, economic, and environmental justice issues and social work’s response in advancing social, economic and environmental justice concerning this social policy issue. In sharing and discussing with the class, students should be prepared to interact with and answer questions from other students. Each presentation will be 10-15 minutes in length. Presentations will take place each Monday.By the previous Wednesday before the presentations, presenters must send the class one or two thought/discussion questions to consider to help the class prepare for the presentation.
You may use visual aids in your presentation such as images, brief PowerPoint slides, and/or brief videos.
A presentation schedule will be put together in week one and presentations will begin in week 3 through week 14.
Your grade on the presentation will be based on the following criteria:
How clear and organized was the presentation?
How well-supported with outside sources was the information presented?
How well-balanced were the presenters (did they speak for approximately equal time)?
How well did the presenters interact with the audience?

Identify the interviewee, including their job title, place of employment, location, and how long they have been in the area of finance.

Interview Regarding a Healthcare Policy or Assessment
Financing healthcare is one of the greatest priorities for the healthcare system in Saudi Arabia. While policymakers agree that more Saudi nationals need health insurance coverage, the debate often revolves around how it should be financed. Identify a healthcare professional who works primarily in the area of finance (e.g., Chief Financial Officer, Controller, etc.) and a specific policy that addresses the financial aspect of delivering healthcare. Contact the individual to conduct an interview about the policy.
Based on what you learned this week, be sure to include the following information in your interview:
Identify the interviewee, including their job title, place of employment, location, and how long they have been in the area of finance.
The goals and objectives of your interview.
Description of the finance policy.
What were some of the benefits of the policy?
What are the challenges of meeting the requirements outlined in the policy?
What can be done to improve the effectiveness of the policy?
Here are some suggested questions:
What are the mission and vision statements for your organization?
How do these mission and vision statements assist in helping your organization focus on healthy living promotions?
How are the daily operations for your organization meeting policy? What are some of the areas that may lead to improvement regarding any policy updates?
What are some of the challenges that you are currently experiencing with your policy revisions?
What are some of the benefits your policy is providing to patients or clients?
What are some of the recommendations that you may have regarding policy improvement both internally and externally?
Your report should meet the following structural requirements:
Be six to seven pages in length, not including the cover or reference pages.
Be formatted according to APA 7th edition and Saudi Electronic University writing guidelines.
Provide support for your statements with in-text citations from a minimum of five scholarly articles. The Saudi Digital Library is an excellent source for scholarly research. One of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures.
