Intro:
This company is an online company that only works on a desktop. The software that this company is providing helps when online shopping. Right now, you can download this google extension for free. Anyone who has a desktop and uses it when shopping could find this software very interesting and helpful. Irete Hamdani, the business owner, showed our group a demo of this extension. She used this extension when she was online shopping on Amazon. She looked up the product that she was searching for, and a pop-up showed up and this pop-up gave recommendations for different types of products and their benefits. Her extension cannot be used on cellphones or other handheld devices. As of now, these pop-ups are available for cleaning products such as laundry detergents, shampoo, conditioner, and etc. She is working her way into clothing as well.
Identification of Deliverables:
In our discussion with Irete, the deliverables were a very important aspect of this marketing plan we are creating for her. Having a deliverable is a great way to visually see something that is being talked about. She stated that she would love to be able to go back and forth to the document in an easy manner, leading to written word document formatting. Within this document she described topics that should or could be within this paper to help her better understand how she can improve her business. As for the milestones, Irete had none in mind, but she would like to be present with all our stages, so with that in mind we plan to email her our progress as we submit our own assignments to our professor so she can be up to date.
What she would like:
During our conversation with business owner Irete Hamdani, she expressed to us that her main goal for this chrome extension was for it to be able to expand to a larger audience. She was very adamant about being able to reach her personal goal of 1,000 quality downloads by the end of our final deadline. She would like us to do in-depth research as to how to expand her business to a targeted audience for AskBelynda, as well as where to find this specific audience she has in mind. Being that AskBelynda only works on desktops currently, it is crucial to target desktop users as they are present within their laptops/desktops daily. Since this is a publicly available chrome extension, being able to reach a more diverse audience with marketing skills would help expand this company.
Marketing Strategy Ideas:
Since this company is limited in its use of desktops, utilizing different marketing strategies will be crucial to finding the target audience. AskBelynda2 is very similar to another popular chrome extension, Honey. Some websites that come to mind when it comes to marketing this extension include Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, and Erewhon. The strategy to go about marketing this extension would be SEO marketing and keyword research to not only rank high on google search but to also reach the target audience. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic. I would supplement SEO marketing with paid google ads to help drive traffic to the site.
Advertisement:
For this company we will start by looking at websites and platforms that are used avidly by computer and then advertising on them; staying away from platforms that are used mostly by mobile users like TikTok or Instagram and instead focusing on sites used by desktop users. Then we will focus on making the ad appealing by using the help of influencers, which can be done by sponsoring them and from this those influencers will let all their millions of subscribers know about it. For example, the extension Honey is used by so many influencers because they sponsor their videos and that’s when these influencers share the extension with their viewers. Having ads by Google relevant is a great source since it is a google extension and then further promoting it. Furthermore, google will then show it when anyone online is searching on shopping sites, specifically Amazon. All these ideas help us as well as promote an affiliate product on AskBelynda by using targeted advertising with Google AdSense Approach. Creating ana easy method for companies to directly ask if you can advertise or sign up for a blog specific ad program.
